3. Why is my furnace short cycling? Maybe your thermostat is not set properly. Maybe it is the location of the thermostat and it is giving a false reading.
4. My furnace is making a “clicking” noise. You possibly have a bad igniter and need a service technician to replace it.
5. My furnace won’t start. If you have a high efficiency furnace, check to see if the exhaust is plugged from condensation that has frozen. Check to see if the power is on.
6. Why do I have water on the floor near my furnace? Most likely your condensate lines are plugged and it is overflowing.
7. Why does my furnace run all the time? If you have a high efficiency furnace that is not a bad problem. It is running at a lower speed to re-circulate the air within your home.
8. I hear a “bang” when my furnace starts. It could be a bad gas valve or dirty burners. Call the service technician for this simple repair.
9. Why is it important to have my furnace serviced every year? First to keep your warranty valid. Second to keep the equipment operating at peak performance and finally to identify problems before they become larger problems.
10. Will the new high efficiency furnaces from Trane really save me money? YES, the savings over time far exceed the cost to replace. They are more efficient in the use of fuel, better on the environment and save money on your electrical bills. With the more efficient motors those electrical savings will be seen not only during heating season but also with your summer cooling costs.
